Chassis
The metal chassis provides the necessary rigidity for the internal components without adding much
overall weight. The power supply fastens to the chassis.
The plastic power supply insulator also fastens to the chassis. It provides electrical insulation between the
chassis and components on the ECA.
The chassis and power supply insulator are not replaceable parts.
Remove the Chassis and Ground Spring
1 Remove the following items:
Lamp module (page 24)
Focus and zoom rings (page 17)
Front bezel (page 18)
Rear bezel (page 37)
Top case (page 39)
Power supply and AC filter ECAs (page 32)
2 Remove the six M3x10 Plastite Phillips screws that fasten the chassis to the bottom case.
3 Remove the four #4-40 jack screws that fasten the chassis around the 15-pin D-sub connectors
on the I/O panel.
