1.4.2 Standard configurations with rotary chairs
Rotary chairs can be combined with VisualEyes™ 515 and VisualEyes™ 525, as described below. The
Orion Comprehensive and the Orion Auto-Traverse can also be configured as Orion Comprehensive Basic
and Orion Auto-Traverse Basic. These include only the tests that can be performed inside the chair
enclosure. Refer to Table 1.4-2 for an overview of the included tests with each of the systems.
• Orion Reclining
Orion Reclining is a rotary chair that can be reclined for caloric and positioning testing.
• Orion Comprehensive
Orion Comprehensive is a rotary chair inside a chair enclosure, containing a built-in laser and an
optokinetic drum for visual stimuli.
• Orion Auto-Traverse
Orion Auto-Traverse is a rotary chair inside a chair enclosure, containing a built-in laser and an
optokinetic drum for visual stimuli. The chair has off-axis lateral movement capability used for
dynamic subjective visual vertical testing.
