The page includes the following fields:
Object Description
Port The logical port for the settings.
Remote IP Address The destination IP address.
Ping Size The payload size of the ICMP packet. Values range from 8 bytes to 1400
bytes.
Result Display the ping result.
Buttons
• Click Ping to start the ping process.
• Click Save to save changes.
• Click Reset to undo any changes made locally and revert to previously saved
values.
• Click Clear to clear the IP address and the result of the ping value.
Cable diagnostics
The VeriPHY Cable Diagnostics page is used for running cable diagnostics. Click Start
to run the diagnostics. This will take approximately 15 seconds for a 1000Base-T
Laptop/PC.
Note: Cable diagnostics is only accurate for cables of 7-140 meters in length.
