3 Click Submit Changes to save your changes. To activate your
changes, from the menu bar click Save/Discard Changes,
and then click Save Changes and Reboot. For help, see

DCE Configuration Parameter Descriptions
Parameter Description
Allows External
BRI
Connections
Enables/disables external TCP connections to the
DCE BRI server.
BRI TCP Port Specifies the TCP port used for incoming BRI
connections to the DCE. This port must be unique
for all TCP services running on the IF30. Valid
range is 0 to 65535. Default is 2189.
BRI Heartbeat Enables/disables asynchronous heartbeat event
(EVT: HEARTBEAT BRI STRING). When
enabled, the IF30 sends the heartbeat event every 30
seconds, enhancing the IF30’s ability to detect TCP
sessions that were not closed cleanly.

Management
Enables DCE control of trigger states.
When Trigger Management is enabled, the DCE
manages the triggers so your application never needs
to issue a TRIGGERREADY command.
When Trigger Management is disabled, your
application must manage issuance of the
TRIGGERREADY command.
Allow External
EPC
Connections
Enables/disables external TCP connections to the
DCE EPC server. When this box is not checked, the
DCE accepts EPC connections only from
applications residing on the IF30.
EPC TCP Port Specifies the TCP port used for incoming EPC
Reader Protocol connections to the DCE. This port
number must be unique for all TCP services
running on the IF30. Valid ranges is 0 to 65535.
Default is 4684.
Enable Logging Enables/disables logging of commands sent and
received through the DCE.
