4. If you wish to stop the cranking of the engine prior to the
engine starting, push the ENGINE START/STOP button
again.
NOTE:
Normal starting of either a cold or a warm engine is obtained
without pumping or pressing the accelerator pedal.
Keyless Enter-N-Go Functions — With Driver’s Foot OFF
The Brake Pedal/Clutch Pedal (In PARK Or NEUTRAL
Position)
The Keyless Enter-N-Go feature operates similar to an igni-
tion switch. It has three positions, OFF, RUN, and START. To
change the ignition switch positions without starting the
vehicle and use the accessories follow these steps starting
with the ignition switch in the OFF position:
1. Push the ENGINE START/STOP button once to change
the ignition switch to the RUN position,
2. Push the ENGINE START/STOP button a second time to
change the ignition switch to the OFF position,
Cold Weather Operation (Below –22°F Or −30°C)
To ensure reliable starting at these temperatures, use of an
externally powered electric engine block heater (available
from your authorized dealer) is recommended.
Extended Park Starting
NOTE:
Extended Park condition occurs when the vehicle has not
been started or driven for at least 30 days.
1. Install a battery charger or jumper cables to the battery to
ensure a full battery charge during the crank cycle.
2. Place the ignition in the START position and release it
when the engine starts.
3. If the engine fails to start within 10 seconds, place the
ignition in the OFF position, wait 5 seconds to allow the
starter to cool, then repeat the Extended Park Starting
procedure.
4. If the engine fails to start after 8 attempts, allow the starter
to cool for at least 10 minutes, then repeat the procedure.
