4.3.4 Bead breaking device
The machine is fitted with an Upper Bead Breaking Disk
and a Lower Bead Breaking Disk, which operate on
the corresponding wheel beads. Both the disk support
arms are fitted with sensors that are required when
operating in AUTOMATIC MODE.
To activate the bead breakers manually, proceed as
follows:
• Check that the machine is in Manual Mode.
WARNING: THESE OPERATIONS MAY BE
DANGEROUS SO OBSERVE THE SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS SET OUT ON THE PLATES.
Upper Bead Breaker:
• Activate the lever (4, Fig.4.1-2) and hold it in the
forward position. The Upper Bead Breaker will move
upwards (Fig.4.3-9).
• Activate the lever (4, Fig.4.1-2) and hold it in the
back position. The Upper Bead Breaker will move
downwards (Fig.4.3-9).
• Release the command when the end stop is
reached..
Lower Bead Breaker:
• Activate the lever (5, Fig.4.1-2) and hold it in the
forward position. The Lower Bead Breaker will move
upwards (Fig.4.3-9).
• Activate the lever (4, Fig.4.1-2) and hold it in the
back position. The Lower Bead Breaker will move
downwards (Fig.4.3-9).
• Release the command when the end stop is
reached..
Note: The command can be released in any position
and the operation will be interrupted. If the
command is activated again, the operation
will be resumed from the same position.
Nota: The disks must not for any reason come into
contact with each other.
