2.2.2.2 Installation
(1) RS-485 signal line terminator settings
The RS-485 lines are used for signals between the NTD-2150 MF/HF transceiver and the NCM-2150
MF/HF controller, so terminators must be placed on the first and last units. If there is only one MF/HF
controller this setting is not necessary because the load is terminated (on) at the MF/HF controller at
the factory. However, if there are 2 MF/HF controllers connected, the terminator on the unit nearest the
transceiver must be turned off.
To set the terminator to on or off, after checking that the breaker on the MF/HF transceiver (NTD-2150)
is turned off, remove the back cover (shaded area in diagram) and shorten the TB101 jumper pin on
the CMV-3775 AF CONT UNIT appropriately as below.
Note1. This termination also can be set on the CQD-2250 CONNECTION BOARD of the NQD-2250
Connection box. However do not set the both of the terminators to ON or OFF carelessly.
Note2. If the NKG-800 printer is installed, also set the printer power to DC24V for the NKG-800 while
opening the back cover as mentioned above. Regarding the NKG-800 printer power setting,
see the section of the NKG-800 printer.
Note3. Do not change the setting of the dip switch (S301) on the AF CONT UNIT (CMV-3775).
