Storage and Cleaning of Instruments
Noce: The Commander Echo Console and its instruments are sensive electronic devices, and should be
handled with care. If handled and cared for properly, the devices have all been designed and manufactured to
provide years of accurate and reliable use. Avoid dropping, banging, or other impacts to the instruments. Use
only within designated operang temperatures.
Storage
When Commander Echo instruments are not in use, store them in the protecve carrying case.
1. If instruments are stored for periods longer than 30 days, recharge baeries before using.
2. Store in an area with a controlled temperature within the recommended temperature range. (see
temperature and humidity limits in “Technical Specicaons” on page 51)
Important Noce: Never store Commander Echo instruments in an automobile, except when
transporng them, regardless of the season.
Cleaning, Disinfecon, and Sterilizaon
Warning: Keep dry, do not immerse any part of any Commander Echo Console, Echo instrument,
Console transceiver, receiver, or accessory in water or any other uid.
Commander Echo Console, instruments and accessories are non-sterile devices and are not compable
with sterilizaon techniques such as autoclave.
Do not autoclave Echo instruments or accessories.
Do not clean with abrasive materials.
Do not clean with solvents, or disinfectant not approved by JTECH Medical.
Recommended Cleaning of Commander Echo Console and Instruments
Wipe surfaces with a so, dry cloth.
Recommended Alternave Method for Cleaning Echo Instruments and Accessories.
CaviWipes disinfecng towelee
Use only as directed, following all instrucons and warnings on the CaviWipes packaging.
Warning: Follow all direcons as specied by the CaviWipe product being used. Allow devices to dry
before use.
Preventave Inspecon
Echo devices have no associated methods of preventave inspecon.
Maintenance
Echo devices are not user serviceable and do not include a service manual.
