Calibraon of Instrument
Zero Calibration
The instruments have all been factory calibrated using weights cered by the Naonal Instute of Standards
and Technology (NIST). Factory calibraon informaon is stored directly on the instrument itself. Should the
Console ever begin to display erroneous informaon from an instrument, the factory calibraon can be restored
from within the Commander Echo Console menus, see “Restoring Factory Calibraon” on page 16 for more
informaon. If necessary, a full calibraon can also be performed. Refer to “Performing a Full Calibraon” on page
17 for further informaon on this process.
In order to connue tesng with a high level of accuracy, the Commander Echo unit requires a zero calibraon of
the instrument being used prior to the start of each exam. For more detailed explanaon of this process, refer to
the “Performing an Exam” on page 16.

Product Registraon
Please register your Commander Echo System as soon as possible. Your registraon ensures that you have easy
access to JTECH Medical Customer Service and Support. Soware registraon is required to receive your site key,
which is necessary to run the soware.
To register your system, contact JTECH Medical Customer Service at (800) 985-8324 or (801) 478-0680.
Repair Policy
Important Noce: JTECH will not accept any products without a JTECH issued RMA number.
Warning: Commander Echo Console and instruments have no user serviceable parts.
To have your Commander Echo Console or Tesng Instrument repaired
Although the Commander Echo Console and JTECH Medical tesng instruments are manufactured with great
care, and tested thoroughly prior to shipment, it is possible that your Echo or accompanying instruments may
require repair. If this unlikely event arises, please follow these instrucons in order to ensure accurate and prompt
servicing of your instruments.
1. Contact JTECH Medical Customer Support at 1-800-985-8324 ext. 4 to obtain a Return Material Authorizaon
(RMA) number.
2. Carefully package all instruments, mark the RMA# on the outside of the package, and ship the instruments
using a service that oers both insurance and tracking of your package. Return the Commander Echo
component (including all accessories) postage paid and insured to JTECH Medical.
Noce: JTECH reserves the right to refuse or to return-collect any merchandise sent for repair without prior
authorizaon from our Customer Service Department. Please refer to page 47 for steps on requesng an RMA.
