Calibraon of Instrument
Zero Calibration
The instruments have all been factory calibrated using weights cered by the Naonal Instute of Standards
and Technology (NIST). Factory calibraon informaon is stored directly on the instrument itself. Should the
Console ever begin to display erroneous informaon from an instrument, the factory calibraon can be restored
from within the Commander Echo Console menus, see “Restoring Factory Calibraon” on page 16 for more
informaon. If necessary, a full calibraon can also be performed. Refer to “Performing a Full Calibraon” on page
17 for further informaon on this process.
In order to connue tesng with a high level of accuracy, the Commander Echo unit requires a zero calibraon of
the instrument being used prior to the start of each exam. For more detailed explanaon of this process, refer to
the “Performing an Exam” on page 16.

Product Registraon
Please register your Commander Echo System as soon as possible. Your registraon ensures that you have easy
access to JTECH Medical Customer Service and Support. Soware registraon is required to receive your site key,
which is necessary to run the soware.
To register your system, contact JTECH Medical Customer Service at (800) 985-8324 or (801) 478-0680.
Repair Policy
Important Noce: JTECH will not accept any products without a JTECH issued RMA number.
Warning: Commander Echo Console and instruments have no user serviceable parts.
To have your Commander Echo Console or Tesng Instrument repaired
Although the Commander Echo Console and JTECH Medical tesng instruments are manufactured with great
care, and tested thoroughly prior to shipment, it is possible that your Echo or accompanying instruments may
require repair. If this unlikely event arises, please follow these instrucons in order to ensure accurate and prompt
servicing of your instruments.
1. Contact JTECH Medical Customer Support at 1-800-985-8324 ext. 4 to obtain a Return Material Authorizaon
(RMA) number.
2. Carefully package all instruments, mark the RMA# on the outside of the package, and ship the instruments
using a service that oers both insurance and tracking of your package. Return the Commander Echo
component (including all accessories) postage paid and insured to JTECH Medical.
Noce: JTECH reserves the right to refuse or to return-collect any merchandise sent for repair without prior
authorizaon from our Customer Service Department. Please refer to page 47 for steps on requesng an RMA.
