(3) Setting for functions of SC-510
Functions can be selected and specified by means of the four setting switches and light emitting diode located
inside the front cover of the SC-510.
There are two modes of the user’s level (indicated as U) and the service level (indicated as S) in the function setting
modes.
How to change over to the function setting mode
Specified No.
Specified value
Switch for entering specified value changed and Down switch (DOWN)
updating setting No. in DOWN direction (SET–)
Up switch (UP)
Switch for entering specified value changed and
updating setting No. in UP direction (SET+)
(Caution) 1. Do not perform switch operations other than those described in the following explanations.
2. Be sure to re-turn the power switch ON after one second or more has passed. If the power is
turned ON immediately after turning it OFF, the sewing machine may not work normally.
In this case, turn ON the power again.
[ How to change over to the function setting mode ]
1. Changing over to the user’s mode
(1) Turn OFF the power to the unit.
(2) Pressing switch , turn ON the power to the unit.
2. Changeover to service mode and version display
(1) Turn OFF the power to the unit.
(2) Pressing switch , turn ON the power to the unit.
(3) Keep pressing switch for three seconds even
when the indication is shown on the display.
(4) The service mode starts when the buzzer has
sounded two times.
(5) When Switch is simultaneously pressed with
Switch kept pressed, a version display is pre-
sented. When all the switches are turned OFF,
the service mode is started.
If the present version is obsolete, however, the
said operation may be disabled.
3. Indication , will be shown on the display. (If the
indication fails to change, re-perform the procedures
(1) and (2).
