• I2C bus logic for low-level communicaon with each component
• Component redundancy circuitry
• Control Board/Roung Engine primary-role mechanism
• Gigabit Ethernet switch that is connected to the embedded CPU complex on all components
• Switch fabric to provide the switching funcons for the MPCs
• 1000BASE-T Ethernet controller to provide a 1-Gbps Ethernet link between the Roung Engines
• Power circuits for the Roung Engine and the SRX5K-SCBE
• LEDs—Provides status of the SRX5K-SCBE and clocking interface
