12.1 Connection Pulse Interface
The pulse interface has two outputs - volume and Energy. flowIQ® 3100 only uses the volume output.
Each pulse output consists of 3 terminals: GND, Volume Pulse and Pull-up Volume. When the pulse output
is active, Pulse is drawn to GND, i.e. the output is ’active low‘. A 10kΩ resistance is placed from Pull-Up to
Pulse.
The supply for terminals 1 and 2 and the supply connected to the Pull-Up need not be the same or at the
same level. The connection of the 8-pole plug J1 is indicated in figures below/next page
