2 Mounting of temperature sensors
The temperture sensors used for mesuring forwrd nd return
tempertures respectively, constitute mtched sensor pir, which must
never be seprted. Temperture sensors re usully mounted in the
clcultor from the fctory. According to EN 1434/OIML R75 the cble length
must not be chnged. Should replcement be necessry, both sensors must
be replced.
The sensor mrked with red sign is to be instlled in the flow pipe. The
other sensor, mrked with blue sign, is to be instlled in the return pipe. For
mounting in the clcultor, see the prgrph ”Electricl connection”.
Note: The sensor cbles must neither be exposed to jerking nor pulling.
Plese be wre of this when binding the cbles, nd be creful not to
pull the binders unnecessrily tight s this my dmge the cbles.
Plese lso note tht temperture sensors must be mounted from
below in cooling or het/cooling instlltions.
2.1 Direct sensors
The short, direct sensors up to DN25
cn be mounted in specil bll
vlves with built-in M 10 socket for
the short direct sensor. They cn
lso be mounted in instlltions
with stndrd ngle tee-pipes.
Kmstrup supply R½ nd R¾ brss
nipples, which fit our short, direct
sensor. Mke sure tht the tip of
the temperture sensor reches
t lest the center of the flow pipe.
The short direct sensor cn lso be
direct mounted in ll Kmstrup flow
sensors with G¾B, G1B, G5/4B nd
G2 thred on the meter cse. Fsten
the sensors’ brss unions lightly
(pprox. 4 Nm) using 12 mm fce
wrench nd sel the sensors with
sel nd locking wire.
