2 Mounting of temperature sensors
The temperture sensors used for mesuring forwrd nd return
tempertures respectively, constitute  mtched sensor pir, which must
never be seprted. Temperture sensors re usully mounted in the
clcultor from the fctory. According to EN 1434/OIML R75 the cble length
must not be chnged. Should replcement be necessry, both sensors must
be replced.
The sensor mrked with  red sign is to be instlled in the flow pipe. The
other sensor, mrked with  blue sign, is to be instlled in the return pipe. For
mounting in the clcultor, see the prgrph ”Electricl connection.
Note: The sensor cbles must neither be exposed to jerking nor pulling.
Plese be wre of this when binding the cbles, nd be creful not to
pull the binders unnecessrily tight s this my dmge the cbles.
Plese lso note tht temperture sensors must be mounted from
below in cooling or het/cooling instlltions.
2.1 Direct sensors
The short, direct sensors up to DN25
cn be mounted in specil bll
vlves with built-in M 10 socket for
the short direct sensor. They cn
lso be mounted in instlltions
with stndrd ngle tee-pipes.
Kmstrup supply R½ nd R¾ brss
nipples, which fit our short, direct
sensor. Mke sure tht the tip of
the temperture sensor reches
t lest the center of the flow pipe.
The short direct sensor cn lso be
direct mounted in ll Kmstrup flow
sensors with G¾B, G1B, G5/4B nd
G2 thred on the meter cse. Fsten
the sensors’ brss unions lightly
(pprox. 4 Nm) using  12 mm fce
wrench nd sel the sensors with
sel nd locking wire.
