DVD-2 SETU P MENU – GENERAL INFORMATION
The DVD-2 SETUP menus allow you to set t he default (or initial) conditions for the DVD Player. Many of
these initial settings can be overridden for each disc that you view via the selection menus provided on
each individual DVD disc.
Gener al Procedures
Press the SETUP but ton wit h t he unit in Stop mode. The initial SETUP menu appears/

1) LANGUAGE
Highlight LANGUAGE and then press ENTER. The LANGUAGE sub-menu will be displayed:
OSD Men u: Set the on-screen display (OSD) menu language.
Subt itl e: Set the preferred disc subtitle language.
Audi o: Set the preferred audio soundt rack language.
DV D Me nu: Set the preferred DVD Disc Menu language.
Defaul t: SelectOn” and press ENTER to reset the DVD-2 to the factorys default settings.
2) VIDEO
Highlight VIDEO and then press ENTER. The VIDEO submenu will be displayed:
TV Shape: Select the desired TV Aspect Ratio (4:3 Pan & Scan, 4:3 Letter Box or 16:9).
TV System: NTSC, PAL or Auto.
TV Mod e : (DVD-2T Onl y) Select between Air and Cable reception.
3) AUDIO
Highlight AUDI O and then press ENTER. The AUDI O submenu will be displayed:
Dol b y Di gi tal : Select Raw, Off or PCM.
DTS: Select Raw or Of f.
MP 3 / WMA: Select PCM or Off.
CD/ V CD: Select Raw, Of f or PCM.
4) RATING (Par ental Contr ol )
Highlight RATING and then press ENTER. The RATING sub-menu will be displayed.
Passwor d: Set the password.
Rating: Set the movie rating.
Notes:
Use t he ARROW butt ons to move between menu items.
Use the ENTER button to select an item, to cycle through the available settings for an item or to display
a sub-menu of choices which will appear as a list t o t he right of t he main item.
To exit the SETUP screens, press the SETUP butt on.
Once set, the DVD-2 retains all settings in non-volatile memory until you change them even if power is
disconnected for many years.
If you are unsure of the effect of a particular setting, we recommend that you just leave it at the factory
default. To restore all settings to their f a ct or y d ef au lts, ref er to the instruct ions labeled " Rest oring
Factory Defaults" at the end of the section on the Language Menu.
