Measurement Parameters: Resistor value Measures 100 kΩ resistor value better
than 0.1 % error
Application Test name: 100 kohm CT
Application Test setup name (My Favorite Setup -> Example_CT): 100 kohm CT
Device used in the example: 100 kΩ resistor of the N1259A Opt.022
Connection inside the N1259A Test Fixture: Use the figure shown in this section
Application description:
Measures 100 kΩ resistor by using SMU by sweeping from 0 V to 100 V. The resis-
tor value is extracted by using the regression fitting method.
Less than 0.1 % measurement accuracy can be expected.
The extracted resistor value is expected to be used in the Vce(sus) application test
as a calibrated resistor value.
Connection inside the N1259A Test Fixture
Use the following connection inside the N1259A test fixture
Open the N1259A test fixture cover, and connect the test leads shown in figure 3-2
by following the step numbers as shown in figure 3-37 and the following procedure
steps.
Note: The available colors of the leads are black and red only. The lead color used in
figure 3-37 is for reference only.
The numbers of the procedure steps correspond to the numbers on the drawing for
connecting the test leads.
[PROCEDURE]
Step 1. Using test lead, connect the Force of the HVSMU1 to the terminal 2 of the
N1259A Opt.022 (100 kΩ).
Step 2. Using test lead, connect the Force of the GNDU1 to the terminal 1 of the
N1259A Opt.022 (100 kΩ)..
Close the N1259A fixture cover.
