1 Setting Up the Oscilloscope
Connecting SMA Cables
You can connect an SMA cable to the Infiniium 90000A Series oscilloscopes
(except for the DSO90254A model) by using the 54855-67604 SMA-to-precision
BNC adapter.
1 Attach the two SMA-to-precision BNC adapters to the ends of an SMA cable.
2 Push the SMA-to-precision BNC adapters onto the oscilloscope BNC
connectors.
3 Tighten the thumbscrews until they are snug.

NOTE
Be sure the 54855-67604 adapters are unlocked before trying to attach them to the BNC
connectors. To ensure the adapter is unlocked, hold the bayonet in your left hand and turn the
nut counter-clockwise to unlock it.
