Replacing the Calibrator Semi-Rigid/Split Ferrite

Separate the two halves of the ferrite (Figure 6-19).
Position the ferrite such that it's furthest edge is 120 mm
(4 ¾”) from the bend of the semi-rigid.
Hold the ferrite in place by applying a coating of silicone or
silicone-rubber compound (e. g. RTV) along that 20 mm (¾”)
section of the semi-rigid.
Join both halves of the ferrite, keeping the mating surfaces
free of the silicone compound if possible.
