Front Panel Replacement Procedure
Removing and Replacing the A3 Front Panel Assembly
Tools required
- T-8 TORX driver (set to 6 in-lb)
- T-10 TORX driver (set to 10 in-lb)
- 1/4-inch nut setter bit (set to 6 in-lb)
- 5/16 inch open end torque wrench (set to 8 in lbs)
- ESD grounding wrist strap
Removal Procedure
Refer to Figure 5-4 for this procedure.
1. Disconnect the power cord.
2. Remove SMA load (2x) 1250-4261 from the LO IN and LO OUT ports using
the 5/16 inch open end torque wrench.
3. With a 1/4-inch nut setter bit, remove all the 5 dress nuts, follow by lock
washer and flat washer (item 3c, 3b and 3a) from the SMB connector.
4. With a T-10 TORX driver, remove the front handles (item 2) by loosening
the screws, on both ends until the handle is free of the analyzer.
5. Remove the flashhead screw (item 1) from the front panel with T-8 TORX
driver.
6. Slide the front panel over the test port connectors.
7. Disconnect the ribbon cable from the front panel power switch board.
Replacement Procedure
1. Reverse the order of the removal procedure.
2. When reinstalling the dress nut in step 3, make sure install in the sequences
3a flat washer, follow by 3b lock washer and 3c dress nut. Secure with
1/4-inch nut setter bit set to 6 in-lbs.
When slide open the front panel and removing the ribbon cable, be careful
not to misplace the light pipe as this small part is easily fall off. Refer
Figure 5-5.
