5–12 INSTALLING THE CEPHALOSTAT
Adjusting the Height of the Cephalostat Head
To adjust the height of the cephalostat head, follow these steps:
1. Position the head clamps in a lateral position.
2. Access the Cephalometric Acquisition Window. In the Program pane:

for a 30 x 30 format.
3. Launch an x-ray using the x-ray remote control.
4. In the Imaging Window, on the drawing toolbar, click . On the acquired image, draw
a line from the bottom of the image to the center of the ball (ear cone). The resulting value
must be:
Height: between 800 and 900 pixels (between 101.75mm and 114.5mm if calibrated at
the nasion support reference plane).
Length: between 800 and 900 pixels (between 101.75mm and 114.5mm if calibrated
at the nasion support reference plane).
