FINAL TESTS
Summary
Leakage check
If the machine failed the pressure test, the leakage check helps to identify leaky compo-
nents for repair.
Depending on the location of the leakage, different preparations are necessary for the
extraction head and bottom part of the coffee machine. Proceed with the according
subchapter.
Leakage check for extraction head
The final tests are passed if
- flow rate is between 75 to 125 ml within 30 sec (150 - 250 ml/min)
- water temperature is between 80 °C to 90 °C (176 °F to 194 °F)
- maximal pressure is between 11.5 to 14.5 bars
- pressure drop is less than 1.5 bars within 30 sec
- no water is leaking (extraction head, housing bottom etc.).
Dangerous voltage inside the machine!
Do not touch any live part while performing the leakage check.
Hot, pressurized parts inside the machine!
Do not touch any hot part while performing the leakage check.
Wear safety glasses during close inspection of pressurized components.
The HMI module
must remain func-
tional and connected to
the building block PCB.
1. Prepare extraction head for leakage
check:

Remove housing back p. 58.
Remove housing left and right
p. 59.
