the coupling (see operating
instructions of the coupling).
1 15 min. Switch to a stand-by pump, if
any, or carry out a functional
check run (5 minutes).
Every 20,000 operating
hours
2 3 h Replace the rolling element
bearings.
Every 4 years or if
discharge head drops
2 6 h Generally inspect and overhaul
the pump in accordance with the
operating instructions.
Check and replace, if necessary:
bearings, casing wear ring,
impeller wear ring, shaft
protecting sleeve
impeller and shaft
Fit new seal elements.
7.2.2.3 Checking the clearances
Excessive clearances will affect pump performance. Losses in efficiency and discharge
head will occur.
To check the clearances, remove the rotor. If the clearance is larger than permitted,
replace the casing wear ring and impeller wear ring.
