10 TUNING THE CHASSIS 22
10.1 Adjusting the compression damping of the fork
Info
The hydraulic compression damping determines the fork suspension behavior.
C00002-10
– Turn adjusting screw 1 clockwise all the way.
Info
Adjusting screw 1 is located at the top end of the right fork leg and is
labeled with COM.
– Turn back counterclockwise by the number of clicks corresponding to the fork type.
Guideline
Compression damping
Standard 2 turns
Info
Turn clockwise to increase damping; turn counterclockwise to reduce damp-
ing.
10.2 Adjusting the rebound damping of the fork
Info
The hydraulic rebound damping determines the fork suspension behavior.
C00003-10
– Turn adjusting screw 1 clockwise all the way.
Info
Adjusting screw 1 is located at the top end of the left fork leg and is
labeled with REB.
– Turn back counterclockwise by the number of clicks corresponding to the fork type.
Guideline
Rebound damping
Standard 2 turns
Info
Turn clockwise to increase damping; turn counterclockwise to reduce damp-
ing.
10.3 Adjusting the compression damping of the shock absorber
Caution
Danger of accidents Disassembly of pressurized parts can lead to injury.
– The shock absorber is filled with high density nitrogen. Adhere to the description provided. (Your authorized KTM workshop
will be glad to help.)
602659-10
