11.38 Checking the frame x

Check the frame for cracking and deformation.
» If the frame exhibits cracking or deformation due to a mechanical impact:
Change the frame. x

A frame that has been damaged due to a mechanical impact must
always be changed. Repair of the frame is not authorized by KTM.
11.39 Checking the swingarm x

Check the swingarm for damage, cracking, and deformation.
» If the swingarm exhibits damage, cracking, or deformation:
Change the swingarm. x
Info
Always replace a damaged swingarm. Repair of the swingarm is not
authorized by KTM.
11.40 Checking the routing of the throttle cable
Preparatory work
Remove the seat. ( p. 35)
Turn the knurled screw on the fuel tap all the way clockwise.
Dismount the fuel tank. x ( p. 38)

Main work
Check the routing of the throttle cable.
The throttle cable 1 must be routed behind the handlebar, behind the coolant
hose 2 and below the fuel tank bracket 3.
» If the throttle cable is not routed as specified:
Correct the routing of the throttle cable.
Finishing work
Install the fuel tank. x ( p. 39)
Mount the seat. ( p. 35)
11.41 Checking the rubber grip

Check the rubber grips on the handlebar for damage, wear, and looseness.
» If a rubber grip is damaged, worn, or loose:
Change and secure the rubber grip.
