11.22 Removing the air filter x
Note
Engine failureUnfiltered intake air has a negative effect on the service life of the engine.
Never ride the vehicle without an air filter since dust and dirt can get into the engine and result in increased wear.
Warning
Environmental hazardHazardous substances cause environmental damage.
Oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaners, brake fluid, etc., should be disposed of as stipulated in applicable regulations.
Preparatory work
Remove the seat. ( p. 35)

Main work
Unhook the air filter holder 1 and swing it to the side. Remove the air filter with
the air filter support.
Remove the air filter from the air filter support.

Main work
Mount the clean air filter onto the air filter support.
Grease the air filter in area A.
Long-life grease ( p. 83)

Put in both parts together, position them and fix them with the air filter support 1.
Info
If the air filter is not correctly mounted, dust and dirt can enter the engine
and cause damage.
Finishing work
Mount the seat. ( p. 35)
