Caution
Danger of accidents Electronic components and safety devices will be damaged if the 12-V battery is dis-
charged or missing.
If the 12-V battery is discharged or defective, malfunctions in the vehicle electronics can occur, espe-
cially when starting.
– Never operate the vehicle with a discharged 12-V battery or without a 12-V battery.
Preparatory work
– Remove the seat. ( p. 95)
– Remove the battery cover. ( p. 102)

Main work
–
Pull the diagnostics connector

out of the bracket and hang
to the side.
–
Remove screw

Raise the battery mounting element

at the rear and remove
in upward direction.

Disconnect negative cable

from the 12-V battery.

Remove positive terminal cover

–
Disconnect positive cable
6
from the 12-V battery.
– Pull the 12-V battery upwards and out of the battery compart-
ment.
