11.9 Removing the lower triple clamp
Preparatory work
– Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 50)
– Remove the front wheel. ( p. 94)
– Remove the fork legs. ( p. 52)
– Remove the start number plate. ( p. 59)
– Remove front fender. ( p. 59)
– Remove the handlebar cushion.

Main work
– Remove indicator lamp holder.

Open cable holder

on the left and detach the wiring har-
ness.

Remove screw

– Take off the upper triple clamp with the handlebar and place
to one side.
Info
Cover the components to protect them against damage.
Do not kink the cables and lines.

– Remove the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
– Remove the upper steering head bearing.
