16.9 Checking the high beam headlight adjustment

– Position the vehicle upright on a horizontal surface in front of
a light wall and make a marking at the height of the center of
the low beam headlight.

Make another mark at a distance

under the first marking.

Position the vehicle perpendicular to the wall at a distance

from the wall and switch on the high beam.

– The rider now mounts the motorcycle with luggage and passen-
ger if applicable.
– Check the high beam headlight adjustment.
The center of the light cone must lie exactly on the lower
marking when the motorcycle is ready to operate with the
rider mounted along with any luggage and a passenger if
applicable.
» If the center of the light cone is not located where speci-
fied:
– Adjust the headlight range of the high beam.
