Outdoor unit
The outdoor unit discharge
sensor is either open, short-cir
cuited or the temperature is out
of sensor range.
Outdoor unit control will not per
form demand or time / tempera
ture defrost operation. (System
will still heat or cool.)
Outdoor unit control detects open
or shorted sensor, or temperature
that is out of sensor range.
Critical alert after 10 minutes.
Reset by replacing sensor.
This fault is detected by allowing
the unit to run for 90 seconds be
fore checking sensor resistance.
If the sensor resistance is not
within range after 90 seconds, the
board will count one fault.
After five faults, the outdoor con
trol will lock out.
Check for proper sensor reading
and attachment to line.
Replace outdoor control if out-of-
specifications.
Automatically clears
when the system de
tects that the issue no
longer exists.

IHarmony Damper
control module
The damper control discharge
air temperature sensor is either
open, short-circuited or the
temperature is out of sensor
range.
Outdoor control will not perform
any defrost tempering – moder
ate condition.
The damper control module de

of discharge sensor range.
Check the resistance of the dis
charge sensor and compare to
temperature resistance chart - re
place if needed.
Reset by replacing the discharge
sensor.
This fault is detected by allowing
the unit to run for 90 seconds be
fore checking discharge sensor
resistance.
If the discharge sensor resistance
is not within range after 90 sec
onds, the control will count one
fault.
After five faults, the control will
lock out – critical condition.
Check for proper sensor reading
and attachment to line.
Automatically clears
after a power reset.
