Attention:Beforeyoustartinstallingamodule,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.Thisaction
reducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.ThestaticelectricitycoulddamagetheSO-DIMM.
Replacingmemoryintheslotunderthekeyboard
1.Turnoffthecomputer;thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.
2.EnterThinkPadSetuptostopbatterydischarge.Referto“BeforereplacingCRUs”onpage77for
detailedinformation.
3.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnitover.
4.Removethekeyboard.Formoredetails,referto“Replacingthekeyboard”onpage81.
5.IftheSO-DIMMisalreadyinthememoryslot,pressoutonthelatchesonbothedgesofthesocket
atthesametime1,andthenremovetheSO-DIMM2tomakeroomforthenewone.Besureto
saveitforfutureuse.
6.FindthenotchonthecontactedgesideoftheSO-DIMMyouareinstalling.
