RAIDsetupisdisplayed.
ThefollowinglistdescribestheitemsinthemainwindowforSASRAIDsetup:
CreateIMVolume:CreatingRAID1oftwoharddiskdrives.
RAID1usesmirroringsothatdatawrittentoonedriveissimultaneouslywrittentoanotherdrive.Thisis
goodforsmalldatabasesorotherapplicationsthatrequiresmallcapacitybutcompletedataredundancy
ifonedrivefails.Thedatacanbereadfromthetwoharddiskdrivesatthesametimetoimprovethe
speedofreadingtheharddiskdrives.RAID1onlysupportsevennumbersofharddiskdrives.
CreateIMEVolume:CreatingRAID1Eofatleastthreeharddiskdrives.
RAID1Estoresdataonallharddiskdrivesthroughstripedmirroring.RAID1Esupportsoddnumbersof
harddiskdrivestoformanarray,whileatleastthreeharddiskdrivesarerequired.

RAID0usesstripingtoprovidehighdatathroughput,especiallyforlargelesinanenvironmentthatdoes
