3.17.1.5 Hydraulic steering system faults and troubleshooting methods
Table 3-7 Faults and Troubleshooting Methods of Hydraulic Steering System
(1) The rubber rings at all pipe joints are damaged or the
bolts are loose.
(2) The rubber ring at the joint surface of the valve
body, stator and back cover of hydraulic steering gear is
damaged.
(3) The rubber ring at the journal is damaged.
(4) The bolts at the joint of steering gear are loose.
(1) Replace the rubber ring or
tighten the bolts.
(2) Clean and replace the rubber
ring.
(3) Replace the rubber ring.
(4)Tighten the bolt
(1) The oil supply of the gear oil pump is insufficient,
and the gear oil pump leaks, and the steering wheel is
light when turning slowly and heavy when turning
quickly.
(2) When the steering wheel is turned, the oil cylinder
sometimes moves and sometimes does not.
(3) The spring force of the safety valve becomes weak,
or the steel ball is not sealed, the light load steering is
light, and the increased load steering is heavy
(4) Too high oil viscosity
(5) The one-way valve of steel ball in the valve body
fails, the fast and slow steering wheels are heavy, and
the steering is not strong
(1) Check whether the gear oil
pump is normal and clean the
filter screen
(2) Exhaust air from the system
and check whether the oil
suction pipeline for air inlet
(3) Clean the safety valve and
adjust the pressure spring of the
safety valve
(4) Use the specified oil
(5) Repair or replace the parts
(1) Pin fracture or deformation
(2) Fracture or deformation of linkage shaft opening
(3) Wrong installation of rotor and linkage shaft
(4) Steering cylinder piston or piston seal ring damaged
(1) Replace the pin
(2) Replace the linkage shaft
(3) Reassembling
(4) Replace the piston or seal
ring
(1) Excessive clearance between rotor and stator
(2) The oil cylinder piston reaches the extreme position
during power steering, but the driver's terminal feeling
is not obvious; when the steering force is turned, the
steering wheel rotates and the oil cylinder does not
move
(1) Replace the rotor and stator
(2) Replace the piston seal ring
