Chapter 4 CPU Specifications
XBC E-Type Main Unit 4-13 Ver. 1
4.6 Data Types and Application Methods
4.6.1 Data types
4.6.2 Bit data (Bit)
Bit data displays On/Off with 1 bit like contact or coil, or is processed by 1 bit unit inside the memory
without I/O.
1. Bit device
Can be saved or read in bit unit (P, M, L, K, F, T, C and S are available. Refer to 4.7 Device Area for details). In
order to access bit data, bit unit should be specified by the lowest place in hexadecimal. Word data is expressed
in decimal. This will word data easily displayed in bit through the bit device.
2. How to set the bit of word device
Specify bit number applicable to word device number to use the bit data.
Expression is as follows:
’s
s
*Do not use a decimal point (.) when expressing a bit device
*Use a decimal point (.) when expressing a bit of word.
