MIDI Operation
Introduction
MIDI enables you to link several Lightcommanders, by connecting the
MIDI OUT Socket of a desk to the MIDI IN socket of another desk.
By means of this, Memories with Page and Chaser Programs with mode
(Manual Step, Sound Step, or Speed) are transferred.
While programming linked desks, you have to prepare settings on
each desk simultaneously.
Other Operations:
An entire show can be recorded to a sequencer, using MIDI OUT.
Later, this show can be played back from sequencer, using MIDI IN.
Linking two Lightcommanders
• Set all Masters to zero.
• Connect MIDI OUT of the main desk with MIDI IN of another desk.
• Press Utility 1 buttons and SELECT MIDI function in the display.
• Select same MIDI Channel on both desks and select MIDI IN on the
receiver desk FIRST.
HENCE, turn MIDI OUT on at the main desk!
Î The sign MIDI appears in the Top Menu to indicate mode of operation.
• Push up the Main Master at the receiver desk and set Masters of
main desk as required.
The maximum output level of the receiver desk is set by its own
Main Master, other masters are controlled by the main desk.
Î After the desks have been programmed simultaneously, Memories and
Chasers can be played back by the main desk controls.
Recording to a Sequencer
