MECHANICAL TIMER
Function
Extends the length of the freeze cycle (after the
evaporator thermostat closes), initiates and terminates
the harvest cycle.
Operation
 Factory Setting is 11.5 minute freeze cycle, 3.5
minutes harvest.
 Total freeze cycle time = the time it takes to close
the evaporator thermostat plus 11.5 minutes.
 Changing the length of the freeze cycle changes the
length of the harvest cycle and vice versa. Example
12 minute freeze = 3 minute harvest
DURING THE FREEZE CYCLE
After the evaporator thermostat closes, the timer is
supplied with power. The cam turns and the ice
machine remains in freeze until the arm for the micro
switch changes position at the cam lobe.
DURING THE HARVEST CYCLE
The ice machine remains in harvest until the arm for
the micro switch changes position at the cam lobe
again.
