Marantz MR2020 - RDS Functionality

— RDS Function —
This device has 4 functions related to RDS (Radio Data System).
The following functions are active only in cases where RDS
@ PTY(Program Type) Auto Search
Automatic searching of stations broadcasting only the speci-
fied type (genre) of programmes.
@ PS(Program Service Name) Display
The station name of the station being tuned is displayed au-
tomatically.
@ RADIO TEXT
Some RDS stations broadcast RADIOTEXT, which is additional
information on the station and programme being broadcast.
RADIOTEXT information appears as ‘running’ text in the display.
RADIOTEXT is transmitted character-by-character by the ra-
dio station. As a result of that it may take some time until the
entire text has been completely received.
@ CLOCK TIME
When an RDS station which is transmitting a CLOCK TIME
code is received (for at least 1 minute), the time setting is
automatically carried out and the following procedures are
not required.

The display is changed in the following sequence each
time the button is pressed.

Notes
* If there is a PS display, you cannot display a preset station
name that you stored in memory yourself.
* During RDS reception, if you attempt yourself to store a pre-
set station name in memory, the following message is dis-
played and the name cannot be stored in memory.
