2. SYSTEM COMPONENTS
OP32 is a measurement system with optical transmission for high-precision industrial applications.
The are two possible system configurations depending by the type of receiver used (E83/ORI
2.1 Configuration with E83 Receiver
The system consists of three units:
OP32/OP32E
probe/transmitter:
in a one body there are a infrared transmitter powered by battery and a touch probe.
This unit is designed to be mounted on a toolholder support and be used by a machine tool
(milling machine, lathe, machining center etc..) as a standard tool.
E83 Receiver
This is an infrared transceiver connected with cable to interface that provides power and
data communication.
This unit is mechanically fixed to the machine.
E83 Interface
Electronics which is connected to one or two stations from which it receives datas
transmitted by the probe / transmitter.
After a processing updates the status of outputs to the CNC.
