1. Place the ESD mat on the floor where you will be working and put on the ESD strap. Make
sure the ESD strap is touching your skin and that the other end is connected to a verified
ground.
2. Choose which side of the switch you want close to the rack vertical support. Either the side
with the power supply units or the side with the IB connectors can be close to one of the ver
-
tical rack supports.
