Alwaysensuretheseatbeltwillnotbecometrapped
inthedooraperturewhenclosingthedoor,damage
willoccur.
Pullingtheseatbeltouttooquicklymaycauseitto
'lock'.Inthiscase,allowtheseatbelttoretract
slightlyandthenpullitacrossyourbodyslowly.
Ifitisdifculttopulltheseatbeltout,itmaybedue
totwistedwebbing.Ifthisisthecase,fullyextract
theseatbelt,removethetwist,allowtheseatbelt
toretractslowly.
Whenusingtherearseatbeltspleaseensurethey
arefullyretractedintothecorrectpositionto
avoidjammingintherearseatcatches.Itisalegal
requirementtowearseatbelts.Eveniftheseatbelt
istwisteditmustbeworn.Wherepossibleavoid
thetwistedsectioncontactingthebodyandseek
advicefromanMGAuthorisedRepairerassoonas
possible.
CorrectRoutingoftheSeatBelts
Ensuretheseatbeltiscorrectlypositionedon
thebody,NEVERcrosstheneckorabdomen,
NEVERpasstheseatbeltbehindthebackor
underthearms.
Whenwearingseatbelts,thelapbeltsectionshouldbe
positionedaslowaspossibleacrossyourhips.NEVER
crosstheabdomen.Intheeventofacollision,thelapbelt
canapplyaforceonthehipsandreducethepossibilityof
