•T akeextracarewhenusingnewtyresfortherst
500km.Avoidintensedriving.
•Y oucanonlydriveatlowspeedwhenpassingcurbsor
similarsections,andpassthewheelsthroughthecurbs
atrightangleasfaraspossible.
•Alwayscheckthetyresfordamages(punctures,
scratches,cracksandpits),andtimelyremoveany
foreignmattersonthetreadpatterns.
•Avoidtyrecontactwithoils,greaseandfuel.
•Ensurevalvecapsarealwaysttedtopreventdustfrom
invadingthevalve.
•Ifthetyreistoberemoved,alwaysmarkthetyre/wheel
orientationtoensurecorrectretment.
•Storetheremovedwheelsortyresincoolanddry
placestokeepoutofthesunasfaraspossible.
NewT yres
Newtyresmaynothavethesameadhesionproperties
oftheoldtyres,pleaseruninatmoderatespeedin
appropriatelycarefuldrivingstylefortherst500km.This
actioncouldbenettyrelife.
T yreorrimdamagecanhappenunnoticed.Anyabnormal
vibrationordriftoccurringwhenthevehicleismovingmay
explainthetyredamage.Ifyoususpectthatthetyresare
damaged,pleasebesuretoimmediatelyreducethespeed,
andstoptocheckthetyresfordamage.Ifyoucan'tsee
anydamagefromtheoutside,youshallslowdownand
continuetodrivetothenearestMGAuthorisedRepairer
forinspection.
DirectionalT yres
Directionaltyresaremarkedwith‘directionofrotation'
(DOR).T omaintainhandlingcharacteristics,tyre
performance,lowroadnoiseandextendtyrelife,
tyres/wheelsmustalwaysbettedwithindicationarrow
showingthecorrect‘DOR'.
T yreLife
Correcttyrepressuresandmoderatedrivingstylecan
extendtyrelife.Recommendations:
•T yrepressuresshouldbecheckedmonthlywhenthe
tyresarecold.
