Thefollowingfactorsaffectthetyrelife:
TyrePressures
Incorrecttyrepressurescanresultinpoordriving
characteristicsandashortenedtyrelifeduetoabnormal
wear.
DrivingStyle
Excessivelyharshaccelerationandbraking(tyressendout
harshnoise)whilstcorneringwillreducetyrelife.
WheelBalance
Thewheelsofanewvehiclearesubjecttodynamicbalance
testing,butoutofbalancewheelsmaystillbecauseddue
totheeffectsofvariousfactorsinoperation.
Y oushallrebalancethewheelssinceoutofbalancewheels
willcausejitterofthesteeringmechanismandexcessive
wearinthetyres.Inaddition,eachwheelmustbe
rebalancedafternewtyresareinstalledortyreshavebeen
repaired.
WheelAlignment
Incorrectwheelalignmentcancauseexcessivetyrewear
andaffectvehiclesafety.Ifthetyresshowsignsofabnormal
wear,seekadvicefromanMGAuthorisedRepairer.
