signsduringpoorlightingconditions,badweather,
non-standardizedorshelteredspeedlimitsigns
orthecamera’sownrestrictionswhichinclude
therecognitionofsimilarsigns(e.g.,recognisea
weightlimitsignasaspeedlimitsign,orrecognisea
minimumspeedsignasthemaximumspeedsign).
•Thecameracannotidentifythetextprovidedbelow
thespeedlimitsign,suchasAuxiliaryLane,100m
Ahead,SchoolSection,7:00-10:00,etc.Thecamera
willidentifythespeedlimitsignwithtextasanormal
speedlimitsign.
•Somedrasticandrapidsteeringoperationsofthe
drivermaybejudgedaschanginglaneorturning
aroundintheintersectionbythesystem,resulting
intheidentiedspeedlimitsignsbeingcleared.
•Incaseswhereaspeedlimitsigncontainsmultiple
speedlimits.Thecameramaynotidentifyallthe
speedlimits.
SpeedLimitAssistSystem
Thespeedlimitassistancesystemisonlyan
auxiliaryfunction.Incaseswherethespeed
limitsignisnotstandardisedorthefront
viewcameraisblocked,thewrongspeed
limitvalueornospeedlimitvaluemaybe
displayedintheinstrumentpack,andthe
vehicleisnotrestrictedinthecorrectspeed
range,sothedriverwillstillneedtobe
responsibleforreal-timeevaluationofthe
speedlimitontheroad.
Thefrontviewcameracannotrecognise
speedlimitsignspaintedontheroad
surface.ThedriverMUSTobservethese
speedlimitsandadjustthetheirspeed
accordingly.
Thesettingsinterfaceofthespeedlimitassistsystemis
locatedontheentertainmentdisplay.Thethedrivercan
selectthemodethroughthespeedlimitmodesetting
