T oreplacethewindscreenwiperblade,putitintheservice
positionbeforeoperation.
1Withthebonnetclosed,taptheicononthe
entertainmentdisplayandselect'Status-PowerOff'.
Within20secondsafterpower-off,pressdownthe
wiperstalkswitchtotheSingleWipeposition(see
'WipersandWashers'in'InstrumentsandControls'
section)andrelease,thewiperwillautomaticallymove
totheservicepositionandstoponthewindscreen.
2Liftthewiperarmawayfromthewindscreen.
3Pressthebuttononthewiperarm(asillustrated),
andpulltheupperendofthewiperbladeoutwardto
disengagefromthewiperarm.
4Unhookthebladefromthewiperarmanddiscard.
5Locatethenewwiperintotheslotofthewiperarm.
6Pushthewiperbladetowardsthewiperarmuntilthe
wiperbladeisfullyembedded.
7Putthewiperassemblybackontothewindscreen,and
checkwhetherthewiperbladeisxedcorrectlyonto
thewiperarm.
8Whenthevehicleispoweredon(referto'Starting
andStoppingPowerSystem'inthechapter'Starting
andDriving'),thewiperwillexittheservicemodeand
automaticallyreturntoitsoriginalposition.
