Adaptivecruisecontrolisadriverassistance
functionforcomfort,whichcanprovide
assistanceforthedriverbutcannotreplace
thedriverinoperatingthevehicle.When
usingtheadaptivecruisecontrolsystem,
itisimportantthatthedrivermaintains
concentrationatALLtimesandisprepared
totakeaction.Otherwise,accidentsor
personalinjuriesmayoccur.
Dependingonwhetherthereisavehicleahead,the
adaptivecruisecontrolcanconductautomaticswitching
betweenconstantspeedcruiseandcar-followingcruise.
Withtheadaptivecruisecontrol,thevehicleisallowed
toconductconstantspeedcruisewithinacertainspeed
range,orconductcar-followingcruisebysettingthe
distancebetweenthevehicleandvehiclesahead.Ifa
vehicleisdetectedinyourpathoftravel,theACCmay
applymoderatebrakingoraccelerationtomaintainthe
selectedfollowingdistance.
Note:Theadaptivecruisecontrolsystemisdesigned
formotorwaysandroadsingoodcondition.Itis
recommendednottobeusedonurbanroadsand
mountainroads.
AdaptiveCruiseActivation
Afterfollowingthevehicleaheadtoa
stop,thedrivermustensurethatthereare
noobstaclesorothertrafcparticipants,
suchaspedestrians,directlyinfrontofthe
vehiclebeforestartingofftofollowthe
vehicleaheadagain.
Whilstusingthecarfollowingcruise
function,itisstronglyrecommendedthat
thedriverdoesnottouchtheaccelerator
pedal.Anyactivationoftheaccelerator
willnotallowtheadaptivecruisecontrol
systemtoautomaticallyapplythebrakes,
andthevehicleisonlycontrolledbythe
driver'smanipulationoftheaccelerator
pedal.
