4.5 Serial
4.5.1 Serial > Summary
The Serial > Summary window gives a summary of the on board serial and console data ports.
Gadget - If the pMDDL5824 has been set to USB Device mode (Pin 72 connected to GND through a 1K
resistor), the Gadget tab will appear and the USB port can be used to connect to a USB host that has the
Microhard Composite Drivers installed. The USB port will appear as a serial device on the host system.
The Summary window shows a number of status items that aid in viewing the operation, statistics, and
troubleshooting of the Serial & USB Serial Ports.
General Status
Port - Shows if the data port has been configured for Console, Data or Idle
Port Status - Shows if the data port has been enabled in the configuration.
Baud Rate - The current baud rate used to interface with the connected device.
Connect As - The type of IP Protocol Config is displayed here (TCP, UDP, SMTP, PPP, etc)
Connect Status - Shows if there are any current connections / if the port is active.
