The "ExIN " r ea dout of your Flash Meter III
is a great aid in finding the brightness ratio of
one light source to another. Thi s especial ly
useful when determining lamp-to-subject dis-
tances
for a particular modeline effect . It is also
useful
when determining lamp-to-subject dis-
tribution of a view camera groundglass or S LR
focusing screen when the meter is used in con-
junction with the Minolta booster . To find the
brightness ratio of one light source to another :
1. Wi
th the measuring mode selector set for
light -source type and means of measure-
ment, the display-mode se l ector at " E xIN,"
and the optional flat diffuser properly at-
tached,
point the meter's receptor directly
at the light source to be measured from the
subject
position .
2. Push

display readout .

eine
gro i3e Hilfe bei der Besti mmung des Hellig-
keitsverhiiltnisses von zwei Lichtquellen . Sie ist
besonders nlitzlich , wenn bei bestimmten Auf·
nahmen der Abstand von Beleuchtung u nd
Aufnahmeobjekt festgelegt werden mui3. Sie ist
weiterhin , in Ve rbindung mit dem Minolta
Booster , hilfreich zum Messen der Helligkeit s-
Verteilung auf der Mattscheibe e iner SLR-
Kamera. Man verfiihrt wie folgt :

Stellen Sie den Me i3 artenwiihler gemiii3
Lichtquellenart und Me i3 art ein und den
Anzeigenattwiihler auf "E x l N" . Wenn der
Plan - Diffusor (zusiitzlich erhiiltlich)
ordnungsgemiii3 angebracht worden ist,
richten Sie ihn direkt auf di e zu messende
Lichtqu elle, und zwar v om Standpunkt des
Aufnahmeobjekts aus.
2.
Drlick en Sie die Mei3taste, und merken Sie
sich den angezeigten Wert.

esse n Sie di e Lichtquelle , die verglichen
werden soil, auf gleiche Weise und bestim·
men Sie die Differenz beider Messungen.
