1. Outline
This chapter outlines the FX3U-4DA-ADP (referred to as 4DA-ADP).
1.1 Outline of Functions
The FX3U-4DA-ADP is an analog special adapter. Which is connectable with the FX3S/FX3G/FX3GC/FX3U/
FX
3UC Series PLC to output the voltage/current data for up to 4 channels.
1) Only 1 4DA-ADP unit can be connected to the FX
3S Series PLC.
Up to 2

4DA-ADP units can be connected to the FX3G/FX3GC Series PLC.
Up to 4 4DA-ADP units can be connected to the FX
3U/FX3UC Series PLC.
(including the other analog expansion boards, analog special adapters)
2) Either "voltage output" or "current output" can be specified for each channel.
3) The D/A conversion results will be automatically output as the values to the special data register of the
FX
3S/FX3G/FX3GC/FX3U/FX3UC Series PLC.
Refer to the system configuration shown in the User's Manual - Hardware Edition to check the number of
connectable units and to configure the entire system.
*1. Only 1 analog special adapter can be connected to the FX
3G Series PLC (14-point and 24-point type).
*2. The expansion board is not required when connecting with the FX
3GC/FX3UC (D, DS, DSS) PLC.
For the FX
3S/FX3G Series PLC a connector conversion adapter is used.

3S/FX3G/FX3GC PLCs use the following special devices.
