9.1 Replacing the Contact Point
9.1.1 Outline
The contact point is interchangeable and can be replaced with either of replacement
contact points of various dial indicators. (Refer to optional accessories in Main Unit
Specifications.)

Operation

Procedure
Turn off the power to the main unit.
While holding the spindle holder with fingers, loosen the socket screw with the Allen
wrench to remove the sub-holder.
The sub-holder and contact point are clamped with the screw. Turn the screw
counterclockwise to remove it.
To replace the sub-holder and contact point, reverse the procedure above.


IMORTANT
 ●When replacing the contact point, exercise sufficient care so as not to apply a force
horizontal to the spindle.
If this replacement is made before measurement, be sure to perform thermal stabilization.
●The lightweight contact point is not available.
●The heavyweight contact point provides larger measuring force than the standard one.
