1.2 Features
This instrument is a high-accuracy digital measuring instrument that has attained a
resolution of 0.01µm and a measuring force of 0.01N(1gt) with a measuring system for
minimizing Abbe’s error and a new mechanism for reducing a measuring force (a force the
contact point applies to a workpiece).
Its unique mechanism allows surfaces of a workpiece, which is easily deformed, but
requires highly accurate measurement, to be measured with a constant measuring force.
Since this instrument can trace a flat or curved surface at a constant force, it is possible to
perform various types of measurements such as maximum and minimum height
measurements, and runout measurement.
Also, it can move the spindle up and down by motor drive to enhance the ease of
measurement.
This instrument can output measured data via the RS-232C and Digimatic interfaces.
