Tochangesowingdistance,rstselectthedesired
spacingfromthefollowinggearboxchart.Adecalplaced
ontheplanterwillprovidethesameinformationfor
on-the-spotreference.
Next,disengagethechainbypressingthetensioner
handle(5)forward.Usingtheindicatedsprocketsonthe
chart,exchangethedriversprocket(A)anddrivensprocket
(B)toachievethedesiredgearratio.Makesurethedriver
anddrivensprocketsarewellalignedandthechainsits
inlinewiththeidlerroller.Oncethedesiredgearsarein
place,youmayreengagethetensionerhandle.
Theunuseddrivesprocketsmaybestoredonthe
sprocketstackontopofthetransmission.
IMPORTANT :Positionthesprocketsasshown
onthefollowinggearboxchart.Checkthat

thegearboxlever,itslock,andtheroller
areingoodworkingorder.
Pooralignmentofthesprocketsandstiffnessofthechain
willcauseprematurewearofthesprockets.Usechainoil
preferablytoregularoilforproperlubrication.
