exceptitisequippedwithadoublelinescraperwhichis
positionedoverthestandardscraper.Thisdoubleline
scraperisspeciallydesignedformeteringseedsindouble
rows,withaseeddiscthathasadoublerowofholesin
it.Thismeteringboxcanbeeasilyexchangedwiththat
ofVersionA.
Usethismeteringboxforseedsofsizeslessthan3mm
suchascarrotsandonions.
VersionCalsorequiresaspecial2seedlineshoeforan
inter-rowspacingof2"(5cm),23/4"(7cm),or4”(10cm).
NOTE:ForversionCitisnecessarytodeactivateor
"pullout"the2pinsandsecurewiththehairpin
asdescribedinsectionAdjustments.
NOTE:Operatorsplantinglargeseedabove2.2mm
(suchasbeetsorpelletedvariants)mayrequire
theremovalofthesecondaryscrapertoavoid
interferenceandearlydislodgementofseed.Inthis
scenariouseadjustmentpinsinstead.Remove
thelowerpinandinserttheupperpintosingulate
thelowersetofholesontheseeddisc.

EachversionDunitcontainstwostaggeredmetering
boxes.
Whenplantinginasingleline,itisthesamemeteringbox
asforversionAandB.Whenplantingadoubleline,itis
sameboxasforversionC.
MeteringboxforVersionMmeteringunits.
EachversionMunitishungwithinaxedframewithfront
rearstainless-steelrollersforseedbedplanting.When
plantinginasingleline,thesamemeteringboxasfor
versionAandBisused.Whenplantingadoubleline,the
sameboxasforversionCisused.
Allversionsofmeteringboxes:
Foreachversion,discswith18-30-36-60-72-120-and
180holesareavailablewithholediametersfrom0.5mm.
Itisalsopossibletosupplydiscswithgroupsof2-3-4
holes,enablingtoplantgroupsofseveralseedsatregular
intervals(hilldropping).
Itisrecommendedthatyoumarkeachscraperandeach
discsothattheycanalwaysbemountedinthesame
meteringbox.Eventhoughtheyareinterchangeable,
theyhavebeenadjustedtogetherasanassembly,andit
ispreferabletocontinuetorunthemtogether.
Withawideshoe,itispossibletousethediscswith1or2
rowsofholes(accordingtotherequiredpopulation).
IMPORTANT :Manyfactorscannegativelyinuence
yourplanting:Worndownmeterbox
housing,seedlabelsintheseed,plugged
holes,warpedscrapers.
Toavoidproblemswiththemeteringboxinthelong
runitisnecessary:

Tocarefullycheckthepositionofthediscsand
scrapers.
•
Tocarryoutperiodicalchecksofthemeteringunit.
•
Tocleantheinsideofthemeteringboxesatleast
twiceaday.
•
Blowoutthemeteringboxeswithaseparateair
hose,especiallywhenplantingsmallordifcult
seeds.
•
Makesurethattheseeddiscisridingushonthe
meterboxhousing.
-Makesurethatnomajorgapshavebeencreated
duetonaturalwearandtearovertime.
-Anacceptablegapisanyspacethatislessthan
halfthesizeofseeddischolediameter.
-Watchforseedleakagewhichcouldbeindicative
ofawornmeterboxhousing.
